Decorator Tanja has the feeling that she is ‘through’ with love. Then, under rather embarrassing circumstances, she meets Markus, of all people, her ex-boyfriend, whom she had left when she was 19. At the second attempt, things go better with the two of them, at least for the time being. After Tanja and Markus move into their first apartment together, she wants a child as soon as possible. But the wish remains unfulfilled – despite numerous attempts and undertakings. The constant frustration begins to leave its mark. Tanja and Markus no longer enjoy sex and reproach each other. Finally, Markus falls for his colleague Merle and moves out. Tanja also tries to look elsewhere, hoping that things might work out with her younger neighbor Carsten. But the two can’t forget each other, Tanja and Markus have experienced too much together in the meantime. When the two meet at a party, they have the chance to give it another try. And all good things come in threes…
