SYNOPSIS
A man – in the middle of his life – has upset everyone with his negative attitude towards life. His family and friends no longer want anything to do with him. Of course, only the others are to blame for this situation. He doesn’t like anyone and he doesn’t like himself either. There is only one who experiences and returns his undivided love: his dog.
To make matters worse, he is diagnosed with a fatal disease. It was obvious that this would happen to him of all people. The doctors give him a few more months. So he just finishes everything: He sells his house and his company. He takes his dog to an animal shelter and bequeaths his entire fortune to the shelter. Then he goes into the hospice and waits to die.
But he does not die – misdiagnosis. Now he has to return completely penniless to a life that neither wants nor needs him. Suddenly he is dependent on other people. And that changes him – whether he wants it or not.
The film humorously shows the transformation of a misanthrope into a person turned towards life.
