SYNOPSIS

Ecki is a goalkeeper in a successful village team. His only problem: he is gay and no one knows it. When Ecki is rudely outed, he loses everything: He is bullied out of the team, his parents and his friends turn their backs on him. Ecki goes on the offensive.
In Dortmund’s gay scene, he drums up a soccer team and challenges his old village team. While he regains his dignity and respect for his family in the village with this game, life changes for his teammates, too…
