synopsis
The unorthodox millionaire wife Eva Klüber goes on the rampage when her husband Rainer wants to divorce her and, according to the marriage contract, she is not to keep any of their joint assets. Eva fakes her own kidnapping to get her hands on the money she thinks she deserves. But her perfect plan backfires in more ways than one.
She lets the young, unemployed couple Ida and Franz hide her in their house in deepest Brandenburg. The house, however, in no way meets Eva’s expectations of accommodation in the context of a kidnapping. On the phone, she pretends to Rainer that she is in dire straits and begs him to pay the ransom of three million euros. When Rainer reacts with panic and desperation, Eva is taken aback: does her husband really still feel that much for her?
Her situation becomes increasingly uncomfortable when the “kidnappers” take off with the loot after the money has been successfully handed over and Eva suddenly finds herself alone with her husband in the Brandenburg wasteland. What does Rainer suspect? And how are the Klübers supposed to get their money back?
