SYNOPSIS

The inhabitants of Merching experience a miracle: The Mary figure on the Fenzlhof cries! Behind it are the spirited farmer Kathi and her son Leonard, who want to shake up the village. The neighboring village of Mirning is threatening to incorporate the village, and Kathi’s previous attempts to call on the people of Merchingen to fight back were all unheard. But this time her plan seems to work and with the pilgrims life comes back into the dead village. Kathi creates new hope – until the cunning mayor of Mirning sends a commission of the ordinariate after her Maria, who wants to have a closer look at the “miracle”…
