SYNOPSIS
Frank Schuster leads a life in the fast lane. He has everything: professional success, a villa, a yacht, an attractive wife, Veronika, and two wonderful children, Janina and Leonie. The only thing he never has time for is his family. But none of them has any idea what will happen to them when Frank actually takes a break. When he leaves the company after a serious traffic accident to devote himself to his family and the finer things in life, he turns everything upside down. Not least because the Schusters also lose their entire fortune overnight. Instead of luxury, Frank preaches “downshifting”: less is more!
But Frank had somehow imagined his new life differently. The dreamed-of family idyll doesn’t materialize, those around him ridicule him as an unemployed loser, and he still hasn’t found a real perspective. And his family? They feel increasingly overwhelmed by his arbitrary decisions. When Veronika has to take on a stressful job as a real estate agent in order to provide for the family, the family peace is increasingly on the brink of collapse, and everyone begins to wonder whether less is really more…
