SYNOPSIS
Marlene (Julia-Maria Köhler) finally wants to go back to work after her baby break. Her husband Thorsten (Sebastian Ströbel) has promised to cut back on his career and spend more time with his family. With daughter Kiki, the two move to Dachau. The new beginning seems settled. But on the morning of Kiki’s first day at daycare, the facility is closed for asbestos removal. Finding a childminder in a hurry is hopeless. When Thorsten rushes to Hamburg at short notice to help his old company out of a jam, Marlene’s professional comeback threatens to fail. Disappointed and angry, however, Marlene doesn’t give up: she discovers rooms that are suitable for a daycare center. Together with Renate (Valerie Niehaus), Karl (Stephan Grossmann), Tülin (Yasemin Cetinkaya) and Rosi (Marlene Morreis), she throws herself into the necessary conversion work. Each and every one of them is under pressure – because they all need a childcare place for their child immediately. The motley crew has to pull together and reaches its limits, not only because of the tight schedule leading up to the building inspection.
