SYNOPSIS

Private detective Ferdinand Zankl (Michael Ostrowski) is arrested by the Passau CID on suspicion of murder. He is suspected of having killed his ex-girlfriend, an animal shelter manager. However, Zankl considers himself innocent and puts pressure on Frederike Bader (Marie Leuenberger) to go undercover to find the real culprit. Because Zankl is in a hurry. He has to get out of jail again to take care of something that will not tolerate any delay. Bavarian archaeologists are searching for relics from Roman times at the very spot where Zankl buried the body of an Arab hit man last winter. Zankl fears the discovery of “his” corpse. A discovery that could also have serious consequences for Frederike Bader, who lives with her daughter Mia (Nadja Sabersky) in Passau under witness protection.
